I spent my entire childhood in Ottawa and absolutely love the feel of the city. I am the son of two real estate professionals, so we moved houses over 17 times giving me a unique perspective of the city I call home. I am a happily married father of two young children, Luca age 5 and Everly age 2 and have a Siberian Husky named Benji. Right now, my family and I live in the Findlay Creek area and we absolutely love being part of that growing community.
Growing up I spent my time playing volleyball and enjoying family time at the cottage in Quebec. I went to three great schools in Ottawa: Elgin Street Public School, Glashan Public School and Glebe Collegiate Institute. I still have close friends from each of these amazing schools. At Glashan I fell in love with the sport of volleyball which eventually led me to pursue an opportunity at Queen’s University in Kingston. At Queen’s I played 4 years of volleyball winning 2 provincial titles and graduated with a Degree in history. During the summer I kept playing volleyball on the beach. Through hard work, my partners and I earned one national silver medal in 2010 and one u21 national gold medal for beach volleyball in 2011.
In 2012 I moved back to Ottawa and studied one year at Algonquin College where I met my wife Bree. A lot of my friends wondered why I went to Algonquin, but the real reason was that I missed Ottawa. Moving home ended up being the best decision of my life leading to an amazing wife and 2 beautiful kids. The first job I took out of school was in residential renovations and this is where my interest in houses was born. From that point on it was 7 years in construction. I ended up working two years in renovations and doing 5 years straight of residential framing. I, and the companies I worked for, have built numerous homes in the Ottawa area and the knowledge I accumulated gives me a unique insight into the homes we see daily.
